What is Azuki NFT? Azuki is an NFT collection of 10,000 anime-inspired avatars that peaked in popularity in early 2022 before falling from grace. For more detail, you can read this article.

What is Azuki NFT?

Azuki is a group of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) created by Chiru Labs, a Los Angeles-based start-up founded by artists and engineers. Each one is a virtual character that grants the owner membership to The Garden, an online club. It became popular right away thanks to Azuki's artistic approach.

How Azuki works

Azuki NFT has 10,000 avatars in its collection. Each Azuki's look is based on one of 469 qualities spread across 13 trait categories. Azukis with rarer qualities is typically more valued since some traits are more uncommon than others.

Azukis, for instance, come in four different varieties: Human, Blue, Red, and Spirit. More than 9,000 Azukis are Humans, so that type tends to cost less. There are only 97 Spirits, less than 1% of the total collection, so they command much higher prices.

Azuki NFTs are minted on the Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) blockchain. They're bought and sold with ETH on NFT marketplaces and stored in NFT wallets.

What happened to Azuki?

Azuki quickly became the subject of controversy, especially after it was reported that one of the founders had canceled earlier efforts and there were insider trading claims.

The fact that Zagabond, the founder of Azuki, started three NFT projects in a matter of months before quitting is unquestionably problematic. The creator described the tasks as educational opportunities that shaped what Azuki is today. However, those who made investments in the unsuccessful trials presumably don't feel the same way.

The day after the blog post, Zagabond issued an online apology. Even when it recovered, that didn't stop the price of Azuki NFTs from falling by more than 50%.

The NFT market is rife with allegations of insider trading. Several major projects, including Azuki, have been accused of it by members of the NFT community. Before the Azuki BEANZ NFTs were revealed, one such instance occurred when a buyer sold four ordinary BEANZ NFTs and purchased numerous unusual ones. Co-founder of Azuki's address. Although tba denied that insider trading took place, they promised to increase security before any next collection releases.

Conclusion

Again, what is Azuki NFT? Azuki NFT is a collection of 10,000 anime-themed avatars on the Ethereum blockchain. In essence, it was developed to serve as a "brand" for a community and metaverse. The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), utility tokens, and GameFi development are just a few of the projects the Azuki team has been working hard on to date. However, Azuki is also going through a confidence crisis, so we will need to continue to monitor the project closely in the long run .
