HNT is a cryptocurrency earned when hotspots provide and verify wireless coverage and transfer device data over the network. So what is HNT contract address and what is HNT token. Let’s find out by reading the article below.

What is HNT contract address?

The contract address for HNT is 0x08Abae9AF6713aC141D85e0b6ad825bb85F39220 with the decimal of 18. The circulating supply of HNT is 134.23 M HNT with a maximum supply of 223 M HNT.

What is HNT token?

Helium is a blockchain-based network that connects IoT devices. Helium technology enables communication between devices, while the system sends data through network nodes. The nodes that make up the network are called hotspots in the Helium system. Hotspots provide public network coverage and rely on LoRaWAN. LoRaWAN is a media access control layer protocol that has a cloud component to which platforms such as Helium can connect.

Helium is one of the largest LoRaWAN networks with over 25,000 hotspots acting as network nodes. Hotspot combines the power of LoRaWAN with mining equipment based on blockchain technology.

What Makes Helium Unique?

Helium is one of the rare blockchain projects dealing with the Internet of Things, besides IOTA (MIOTA), which uses so-called "blockless" technology and the Tangle network to connect devices to the Internet of Things. The uniqueness of Helium as a project focused on improving the Internet of Things is reflected in the proof-of-coverage mechanism. PoC is a unique mechanism created specifically for the Helium network. The consensus mechanism is based on the HoneyBadger Byzantine Fault Tolerance protocol, which allows network nodes to reach consensus when the connection rates are different.

I hope this article will help you to learn what is HNT contract address and what is HNT token. The Helium network is based on a unique consensus mechanism developed specifically for the Helium protocol. In order to insert functionality and decentralization into the infrastructure of the network, the coverage proof consensus mechanism supports three different types of hotspots, namely challengers, senders and witnesses
