Yet only two of its products have so far been release, although plenty more are in the pipeline. Following a recent bearish trend, forecasters are now split on whether it can become a force to be reckoned with in its niche industry.
This article will show you all about Luffy inu. What was the highest price for Luffy? Let's take a look.
What is Luffy?
With the likes of Shiba Inu and anime NFTs, Japanese culture has been imprinted in the burgeoning crypto industry. Named after the protagonist of the One Piece manga series, Luffy was built to continue driving this with an ecosystem and token for anime fans.
Luffy is creating an ecosystem of crypto products for anime fans. So far its staking platform and crypto game are the only two features to have gone live. The LUFFY token was designed to power these products.
Investors and users can take advantage of Luffy with its DeFi, gaming, education, and NFT products. The platform’s aim is to help underpaid anime and manga artists rise to fame. Its whitepaper states: “Our goal is to establish a credible token with real-world utilities.”
The Luffy token
The LUFFY coin was built to be the main utility of this bustling ecosystem. It initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain with the main reasons being security and credibility. Since being founded in 2021, LUFFY has expanded to the Binance Smart Chain (BNC).
It was also designed to be a deflationary cryptocurrency as large and consistent amounts of the supply are being burned. Almost a third of the total supply was destroyed at launch. A further 2% of every transaction fee is sent to holders, including the burn wallet.
A total of 6% is charged for every transaction, including the portion sent to be burned. The other 4% is split among liquidity and marketing.
Luffy price history
LUFFY was founded in August 2021 and CoinMarketCap listed the token on 13 September at $0.00000000004. It saw a steady climb over the first month with it reaching a high of $0.0000000007.
But the anime token saw major spikes over the following months, this followed bullish market trends and a hype around Web 3.0 tokens. On 22 October, the exchange WhiteBit announced it was listing the token four days later. And on 26 October, the Luffy coin price peaked at $0.0000000027.
It climbed even higher in November after Luffy burned 10 trillion of its tokens and received press coverage from CoinTelegraph. The anime token rocketed to its all-time high of $0.000000003752 on 16 November.
LUFFY was unable to maintain these gains and it soon started to succumb to the bear market. It did see a spike on 25 December, when it reached $0.0000000019, following a listing on MEXC. Yet it had stooped lower and closed the year at $0.0000000012.
The value of LUFFY continued depreciating into the first quarter of 2022. But it managed to somewhat defy the crypto crash. Three other tokens, which include Chopper, Goku, and Deku, merged with the anime crypto to become Luffy token (V2) in April 2022.
LUFFY then revealed it was expanding into the BNC blockchain. The price peaked at $0.0000000017 on 8 May, but eventually dropped. As of earlier today (21 June 2022), LUFFY ws sitting at $0.0000000004.
However, the anime token is up more than 64% in a recent seven-day period, which follows a trading competition being hosted by Gate.io.
