Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a popular digital currency born as the memecoin rival of Dogecoin (DOGE), Elon Musk's beloved dog-themed currency. In this article, we will discuss, "What is Shiba Inu Burn Schedule? How Much SHIB Has Been Burned?" Let's get started.

What is Shiba Inu Burn Schedule?

There is no set schedule for burning tokens on Shiba Inu. However, the Shiba Inu burn portal was introduced in April 2022, enabling holders of SHIB to burn their tokens and earn burn rewards.

For SHIB, the burn rate was already very high. On March, 6 billion SHIB were destroyed, a number that reached 10 billion individual burns in April —before the advent of the Shiba Inu portal.

There are three burn addresses for Shiba Inus. These are part of the Ethereum network and are also used for other tokens. When tokens are sent to a burn address, which is an uncontrolled address, they are actually being taken out of circulation.

How Much SHIB Has Been Burned?

Over 70 billion SHIB have been burned as of this writing. This is over 40% of the total SHIB supply. It should be remembered that Buterin is in charge of the majority of the burned SHIB because, in May 2021, developers gave him 500 trillion SHIB as a gift.

He donated the remaining funds to the Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal's India COVID-19 relief fund after burning 410.24 trillion SHIB.

What is Shiba Inu Burn Schedule? How Much SHIB Has Been Burned? - Hopefully, this article can help you to get some knowledge.
