A cross-platform, cloud-based, encrypted, freemium instant messaging service is called Telegram. In addition, the service offers optional services including VoIP, file sharing, end-to-end encrypted conversations, and video calling. It debuted on iOS on August 14, 2013, and on Android on October 20, 2013. So, who is the owner of Telegram?

Who is the Owner of Telegram?

Russian-born French-Emirati entrepreneur Pavel Valeryevich Durov is best known for founding the social networking site VK and Telegram Messenger. He is Nikolai Durov's younger brother. Basically, he is the owner and founder of Telegram. He is only 38 years old at the moment. And according to Forbes, his net worth is currently 15. Billion USD.

Why is Telegram Popular in Crypto?

The crypto community has depended on chat services like Discord and Telegram as well as social media sites like Twitter in recent years to communicate. However, some claim that Telegram is the ultimate hub for information and conversation, making it essential to be present there in the crypto community.

According to the founder of Telegram channel revealed, who goes by the alias nakamotocat, "Telegram usage is the cornerstone of the crypto community." Projects have come and gone, players have risen and fallen, but Telegram is still the primary forum for communication between different projects and market players.

Early in 2017, Nakamotocat started using Telegram after a buddy advised them to do so in order to connect with and pick the brains of other cryptocurrency enthusiasts. A year later, nakamotocat established the "unfolded" channel to offer insights into the cryptocurrency market. The channel currently has 117,000 subscribers.

In order to increase money, Telegram is now auctioning off exclusive usernames on the TON blockchain, following the launch of a new ad-free Premium tier earlier this year. Users can bid with Toncoins on unusual usernames on the messenger's new marketplace, which is holding the auction.

If you want to participate in the auction, go to Fragment com and sign in using your Telegram account, the Tonkeeper app, or your TON-based wallet. When you buy a username on Fragment com, the website will also assist you in connecting the new username to your Telegram account. Visit the about page of Fragment for more information.

So now you know who the owner of Telegram is, and why Telegram is so popular in the crypto community.
