Most people consider Vitalik Buterin to be one of the biggest Ethereum holders. But he's not! Why? Let's see.

Vitalik Buterin only has around 51.7 ETH in his wallet!

In 2018, Vitalik released the address of his ETH wallet, which now holds around 51.7 ETH, equalling over $56,730 in value.

Notably, although Buterin's wallet might appear small, it's important to note that the majority of its contents have been transferred to new addresses. There are hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Ethereum stored in other wallets in addition to about 142 ETH in Vitalin's VB 3 wallets.

Who Owns Ethereum The Most?

An ETH2 deposit smart contract held more than 13.1 million coins, or about 11% of the total amount of ETH in circulation, making it the largest ETH-holding address.

With 4.28 million ETH (3.58% of the total supply in circulation), a Wrapped Ether smart contract was the second-largest ETH-holding address.

The third- and fourth-highest deposits of ETH were made to wallets identified as belonging to Kraken and Binance, two crypto exchanges.

Two unidentified wallet addresses in fifth and sixth places are top holders of Ethereum outside those deposited in the smart contracts and crypto exchanges. The two unidentified wallets had about 1.95 million and 1.49 million ETH tokens in them, respectively, representing 1.6% and 1.2% of the total ETH supply.

The two wallets mentioned above were the only two unidentified addresses among the top 10 ether holders. The remaining protocols were identified as smart contracts, cryptocurrency exchanges, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.

It is unknown how much ETH holdings early contributors and Ethereum insiders currently have.

"Who Owns Ethereum The Most? Is It Vitalik Buterin (creator of Ethereum)?" I hope this article can provide you with an answer to who owns Ethereum the most.
