A stablecoin, or digital dollar, called USDC is accessible around-the-clock and travels at the speed of the internet. Running on many of the most cutting-edge blockchains in the world, USDC exists directly online. Who owns USDC? Every day , billions of USDC are exchanged.

Who Owns USDC?

Borders and financial hours are irrelevant to USDC. USDC is a digital currency with a wide reach that is accessible whenever and wherever you need it. Sending USDC abroad, making purchases with it, and putting money away for the future are all simple processes. Any Internet users with access can transmit, receive, and save USDC.

A completely-reserved stablecoin, USDC is always convertible 1:1 into US dollars and is fully backed by cash and short-term US treasuries on the internet. Leading US financial institutions, including BlackRock and BNY Mellon, are responsible for the custody and administration of USDC reserves.

According to attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, monthly reserve attestations offer assurance that the amount of stablecoin reserves is higher than the amount in circulation each month (AICPA).

Like PayPal, Stripe, and Apple Pay, Circle is governed by state legislation as a licensed money transmitter. The SEC reviews Circle's financial records and conducts an annual audit of them.

Is USDC Coin At Risk?

Trading in digital currency carries a high chance of financial loss. Due to your trading deals or unexpected price changes, you could make money, lose money, or even lose all of your money. You must therefore comprehend and be aware of all the risks before choosing to engage in any trading transactions under this agreement.

Assets that are stored as counterparts to USDCs and are backed by assets redeemable for USD or assets equivalent to USD are kept in custody on the own accounts of CENTER or Circle. Circle promises to treat partners fairly and to keep USDCs in USD in its own accounts or reserves with 1 USD for 1 USDC, but it makes no assurances or promises that the USDC will consistently stay 1 USD.

Summary

Digital stablecoin USD Coin (USDC) is linked to the US currency. A group named Centre, which was established by Circle and consists of representatives from the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and the Bitcoin mining business Bitmain, an investor in Circle, manages USD Coin. So , this is the answer for the “who owns USDC?”
