Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was characteristically impromptu when he announced his unexpected resignation on November 29. Unexpectedly, he tweeted, "Not sure anyone has heard, but I resigned from Twitter," capping off his farewell message about the future of the firm with, " Hi mom!" So, why did Twitter CEO step down? We will talk about it here.

Who Was Twitter CEO?

Jack Patrick Dorsey is a co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, Inc. He is also the co-founder, CEO, and chairwoman of Block, Inc., a financial payments company. Dorsey was born in America on November 19, 1976. United States: St. Louis, Missouri Co-founding of Twitter, Inc. 18 million shares of Twitter, worth more than $1 billion, are owned by Jack Dorsey.

Why Did Twitter CEO Step Down?

Dorsey's carefree style has helped him establish himself as a legendary figure in Silicon Valley for more than 15 years. After years of tweeting outlandish things, he was the first tech CEO to reprimand the previous president, Donald Trump. was fundamentally broken and invited outsiders to assist the company in determining how to give the "collective health" of the platform priority. He also annoyed lawmakers by tweeting during a hearing in March while wearing a scruffy beard and a nose ring.

However, Dorsey has also developed a reputation as a disorganized and aloof manager who frustrated Wall Street and occasionally confused his own employees. He declared in a late-night email sent well before the pandemic that everyone could rework from home indefinitely without informing the hu director of the company. During the pandemic, he discussed moving to Africa.

Over the past year, investors have pushed for Dorsey's removal, claiming he is overcommitted because he also serves as CEO of the payments startup Square. In addition, Twitter's stock price shot up on Monday as news of Dorsey's departure broke before falling slightly by clusion day's .

Due to the fact that Dorsey was already a very hands-off manager and that his departure, which he announced would be effectively immediately, is unlikely to change Twitter's course in the near future, according to people familiar with his management style who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private issues. Chief Technology Officer Parag Agrawal, an engineer who rose through the ranks over a decade, will take over for him. He is thought to share Dorsey's vision for the future of Twitter.

Closing Thoughts

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, has resigned from the Twitter board. Why did Twitter CEO step down? Dorsey previously denied rumors that he would take over as CEO of Twitter once more by announcing that he would never serve in that capacity again. Elon Musk, who is currently in the process of seizing control of Twitter, shares Dorsey's views. The $44 billion deal, however, has currently been suspended for a number of reasons.
