Why is Stellar Good for Sending Remittances?

A digital or virtual money created by the Stellar Development Foundation is referred to as the Stellar cryptocurrency. The lumen, the company's currency, is traded on several cryptocurrency platforms under the name XLM. Then, why is Stellar good for sending remittances?

It will just take a few seconds and cost a fraction of a penny to send your money anywhere. The Stellar system includes a decentralized exchange. With today's financial infrastructure, it is challenging for users to swiftly and effectively switch between multiple currencies.

The Stellar development team predicted at the start of the year that more transactions would be made on their network in 2018. This suggests that they anticipated the release of new features like the IBM cross-border payments. To handle the growing number of nodes on its network, the Stellar blockchain must upgrade its infrastructure.

Because of this, the team wants to start using the Lightning Protocol by the end of November. The network's increased scalability is in line with Stellar's goal of becoming the world's top digital payment gateway. This will pave the way for Stellar and Ripple to compete for customers in the remittance industry.

Originally intended for the Bitcoin network, the Lightning Protocol has now been implemented on the Litecoin blockchain and will shortly be implemented on Stellar. The protocol enables users to conduct cross-chain transactions by enabling off-chain payment processing through routers and hubs. Tokens can be sent from one Stellar network user to another on the Bitcoin network.

There are several reasons why Stellar is a good remittance option. Here are a few:

Cross-border payments are simple to send quickly and affordably because of the network's design. It will just take a few seconds and cost a fraction of a penny to send your money anywhere.

The Stellar system includes a decentralized exchange. With today's financial infrastructure, it is challenging for users to swiftly and effectively switch between multiple currencies.

The cryptocurrency markets have been trending marginally upward over the last few days. Particularly XRP has done well, reaching its zenith when it briefly overtook Ethereum as the second-most valuable cryptocurrency.

The value of XLM is likely to follow the recent trajectory that XRP has been experiencing. This is as a result of the Lightning Protocol's implementation, the IBM cross-board payments solution's launch, and the Stellar foundation's recent acquisition of Chain.
