Users of Ethereum frequently choose USDC because it is a stablecoin, which means that its worth is tied to the US Dollar. A software cryptocurrency wallet called MetaMask is used to communicate with the Ethereum network. So, if you have a problem of USDC not showing in MetaMask, keep reading.

Why Is USDC Not Showing In MetaMask?

Your USDC not showing in MetaMask where you anticipate it to for one of two reasons:

- You delivered it to a business location. On Ethereum and other EVM-compatible networks, smart contracts have unique addresses that can be confused for standard wallet addresses.

- You copied the incorrect URL. This is a straightforward but basic error. Check the transaction again in the explorer to make sure you passed the correct location.

You must be connected to the "Ethereum Mainnet" network because USDC operates on the Ethereum blockchain. The "Ethereum Mainnet" is the usual choice. If not, you must pick Ethereum Mainnet by clicking the network dropdown box.

However, USDC can be directly added to Metamask.

Can MetaMask Have USDC?

Yes, MetaMask can have USDC. How to add USDC to MetaMask is as follows:

The contract URL for USDC must first be copied. You are not immediately added USD Coin (USDC) by MetaMask. As a result, you must include it as a unique token.

You must duplicate its contract address before you can add it as a custom token. To do this, visit CoinMarketCap.com and perform a "USDC" search. Click the duplicate icon under "Contracts" on the "USD Coin" tab to copy the contract value.

Go to "import tokens" and click.

To add USDC as a custom token, you must first unlock your MetaMask wallet. However, you must first confirm that you are connected to the "Ethereum Mainnet" network. This is due to the fact that USDC utilizes the Ethereum network.

The "Ethereum Mainnet" network ought to be chosen by default.

Finally, to begin importing a unique token, scroll down and select "import tokens". paste the contract URL for USDC

After selecting "import tokens," you will be taken to the "Search" option. To begin importing a unique token, first select the "Custom Token" tab. The "Token Contract Address," "Token Symbol," and "Token Decimal "sections are now visible.

In the "Token Contract Address" box, paste the USDC contract address that you copied from step 1 or his USDC contract address, which is 0xa0b86991c6218b36c1d19d4a2e9eb0ce3606eb48.

The USDC will be added to your MetaMask wallet after you select "Add Custom Token." It is accessible from the "Assets" menu. On MetaMask, USDC can now be sent and received.

Click "USDC" in the "Assets" tab to transfer USDC. Next, paste the recipient's address and select "Send."

Summary

There are steps you can take, such as adding tokens directly to Metamask, if your tokens are not appearing in the Metamask wallet. Why USDC not showing in Metamask is explained in this piece.
