BAYC creators Yuga Labs announced that they would be building their own metaverse called Otherside. In this article, we will discuss, Yuga Labs' own Metaverse(Otherside), and The Otherside NFT.
The Otherside Metaverse
A 3D virtual world based on the BAYC project is called the Otherside Metaverse. According to the project team, it is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) where up to 10,000 players can communicate and voice chat with each other at once.
The BAYC NFTs' utility will be increased even further by the metaverse experience, which also gives players the option to include different kinds of NFTs from outside the game. Players can explore an open world, take on quests, own land, and gather resources, just like in other metaverse projects.
The Otherside NFT
All of the game's elements are contained in the dynamic NFT collection known as Otherdeeds. Each Otherdeed comes with a set of resources and some include a Koda.
Each piece of land in Otherside has up to four replenishing resources that players can harvest and use in the game, making them more valuable. Some are rarer than others. They are the root(wood), ore (metal), shard (stone) , and anima (for research). There are also five sediment types (or tiers) that each land is built upon Biogenic Swamp (tier 5), Chemical Goo (tier 4), Rainbow Atmos (tier 3), Cosmic Dream (tier 2), and Infinite Expanse (tier 1).
On April 30, a public sale for other things, including 55,000 land parcels, was held. However, there are only 100,000 Otherdeeds available in total, with the remaining 45,000 parcels reserved for owners of Bored Ape NFTs and staff members and partners of Yu ga However, the release price of land in Otherside came as a big shock.
Kodas, on the other hand, are the beings that Yuga says “have ushered us into the Otherside.” Users aren't supposed to know exactly what Kodas are or why they exist; however, they have a significant connection to the Otherside land. Kodas are purposefully fuzzy. The company stated that users who meet a Koda must tread cautiously.
