Alterations to the Ethereum Foundation's website have eliminated indications suggesting that the foundation is not subject to undisclosed investigations. According to records on GitHub, no rationale was provided for this alteration, which occurred on February 26.
The modifications were executed by freelance Ethereum front-end developer Pablo Pettinari. The removed text reads as follows:
"The Ethereum Foundation (Stiftung Ethereum) has never been contacted by any agency anywhere in the world in a non-disclosed manner. The Ethereum Foundation will publicly disclose any form of inquiry from a government agency that is outside the scope of normal business operations."
In a GitHub description, Pettinari stated: "This commit removed part of the footer because we received a voluntary inquiry from state authorities, which included confidentiality requirements."
