The y00ts non-fungible token (NFT) project is undertaking yet another blockchain network migration, just four months after transitioning its NFTs from Solana to Polygon.
DeLabs, the entity behind y00ts, announced on August 9 via their X (Twitter) account that they will be shifting to Ethereum under their DeGods NFT series. This move follows the prior migration from Solana to Polygon that commenced in March and saw around 11,633 out of 15,000 y00ts NFTs being bridged to Polygon.
The rationale behind this migration is to bring together the y00ts community with the DeGods community. DeGods themselves revealed that they intend to bridge Solana in December and start the migration from Solana to Ethereum in early April. The project emphasized that their decision to migrate doesn' t reflect any dissatisfaction with Polygon.
DeLabs announced their intention to return a $3 million grant from Polygon Labs, which had been received in January to aid the migration. The team explained that these returned funds will be redirected to bolstering the NFT ecosystem for creators and builders. While some NFT com community members Expressed support for the project's founder, Frank DeGods, others raised concerns about the health of Polygon's NFT ecosystem.
The rapid shifts in blockchain networks highlight the dynamic nature of the NFT space and the ongoing efforts to find the most suitable platforms for NFT projects.
