Oasys, a blockchain platform with a focus on gaming, has formed a partnership with AltLayer, a zero-knowledge aggregation platform. The aim of this collaboration, announced recently by Oasys, is to simplify the integration of the Metaverse into the Oasys ecosystem by leveraging AltLayer's aggregation-as-a-service capabilities.
The partnership between Oasys and AltLayer seeks to streamline the process for developers interested in launching blockchain games and Metaverse projects within the Oasys network. By utilizing AltLayer's aggregation-as-a-service capabilities, Oasys aims to provide a more straightforward experience for developers looking to create and deploy gaming and Metaverse experiences within its network.
Introduced in February 2022, Oasys has positioned itself to foster wider adoption of play-to-earn (P2E) blockchain games. It prides itself on offering a "zero gas bill experience" and facilitating asset portability among projects developed within its ecosystem. Notably, the founding team of this blockchain includes prominent figures from both the gaming and crypto gaming sectors.
According to Daiki Moriyama, director at Oasys, the collaboration with AltLayer is designed to cater to smaller game developers seeking an easier pathway to deploy games on the blockchain. While larger gaming companies opt for building custom metaverses within Oasys L2, smaller developers prefer a more accessible approach to create and deploy their games within these metaverses.
Moriyama emphasized the significance of providing a platform for creating "Verses" in the second layer of Oasys' two-tier architecture, particularly with the expected surge in small and medium-sized developers. When discussing forthcoming trends in blockchain gaming for 2024, he highlighted notable developments in the sector, stating that the landscape has become richer, with the emergence of diverse marketing initiatives and entry of companies from various industries into the Web3 gaming realm.
