This article is about how to launch an NFT collection. NFTs play an important role in the crypto world. There are nine categories and over 10,000 NFT collections listed on OpenSea.

How to Launch an NFT Collection?

Anyone can basically take a photo and create 10.000 computer generated variants of that photo and upload it onto the blockchain. But in order to have a successful NFT launch, you really need to put in some extra, and very genuine, effort.

If you already have an NFT idea, the core question you need to ask yourself is: why will people want to buy it?

Your marketing team should sit down and create a compelling story that will entice customers to buy your NFT. Some questions you can ask yourself include:

Why is your NFT collection different from others?

Why would your NFT collection grab people's attention/What makes it significant?

Why will it hold value and still be of interest in years to come?

What value does your NFT collection give to the buyer?

How exclusive are your NFTs?

In this post, we will explain the simple six-step strategy for a successful NFT collection launch.

Steps to Launch an NFT Collection

Choosing the Right Blockchain

If you already have some authentic artwork for an NFT collection of a few thousand tokens, you will need to choose the right blockchain for launching your project. The Ethereum blockchain is the most popular choice for launching NFTs, but it has super high gas fees that make minting ETH NFTs quite expensive.

The Polygon (MATIC) and Solana (SOL) blockchains are great alternatives for launching NFTs, and these networks are becoming increasingly popular among NFT creators.

Social Media Channels

If you want your NFT collection to become successful, then you will need to work hard on your social media presence. An active Twitter account for your NFT collection is a must, and you need to be constantly engaged with your followers, publishing NFT sneak- peaks, organizing minting whitelist spot giveaways, and to generally be prepared to answer follower questions.

Having a dedicated Discord channel for your NFT projects is also an essential part of launching an NFT collection. Most of the NFT community is focused on Discord as an active communication channel where NFT creators and investors can communicate with each other in a laid-back, casual form.

It's important to create your social media channels at least several weeks prior to your collection's launch in order to build up the hype around the project and get people excited.

NFT Utility

Successful NFTs always provide their holders with much more value than just nice artwork. The aesthetics of an NFT are a crucial element, but additional utility is just as important. That's why your NFT collection should always have a broader development roadmap that rewards users for holding onto your NFT collection.

Official Website

Besides active social media channels, you absolutely need to have a smooth looking website for your NFT project. The website doesn't need to have loads of pages, but it does need to contain the essential information regarding your project. It absolutely needs to be Well designed, to showcase the quality and inherent value of your project.

OpenSea Account

OpenSea is the largest NFT marketplace on the web, so it's strongly advised to create an official account for your collection on the platform. Don't forget to link your OpenSea account with your social media accounts in addition to the official website.

NFT Smart Contract and Minting

When you've got all the above mentioned steps set in stone, you need to make sure your NFT smart contract is working smoothly and that you're ready for the minting process. It may be a good idea to hire an experienced smart contract developer To handle the contract deployment and minting procedure, so you don't miss anything.

Bottom LIne

Launching an NFT is not that easy nor complicated but there are many competitors out there. So, just knowing how to launch an NFT is not enough.
