Ethereum Name Service (ENS) makes encryption more accessible by converting long addresses into human-readable URLs. So what exactly is ENS and how to buy ENS? If you do not know yet, I recommend you to read this article.

What is ENS?

The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) uses the exact same concept as the Domain Name Service (DNS), but adapts it to the needs of Ethereum users. At the heart of the Ethereum Name Service is a distributed, open and extensible naming system that runs on the Ethereum blockchain.

It is designed to map human-readable names to machine-readable identifiers. In this case, the human-readable name could be something like "cactus.eth", and the machine-readable identifier could be an Ethereum address (or other cryptocurrency address ).

How does ENS work?

ENS is built on two Ethereum smart contracts. The first smart contract is the ENS registry, which records all domains registered on ENS and stores three key pieces of information for each domain: the domain's owner, the domain's resolver, and the cache time of all records under the domain . The second smart contract is the resolver, which translates domain names into machine-readable addresses and vice versa. The second smart contract matches each domain with the corresponding user, website or address.

If you wish to create a Web3 username can visit the ENS application and start by searching for available domain names. You could simply follow the registration process, which includes confirming two transactions in your wallet and paying the annual fee, which is $5 for names longer than five characters. After you got the domain, you can link it to your crypto wallet, website, and create multiple subdomains like email.rick.eth or website.rick.eth.

How to buy ENS?

ENS tokens can be purchased at the following exchanges:

Centralized

- Binance

- Okex

- ByBit

Decentralized

- Uniswap

- SushiSwap

- 1Inch

I hope this article will help you to learn what is ENS and how to buy ENS. ENS is a major emergence in the cryptocurrency space and a step toward solving some of the pressing issues plaguing the industry, namely user experience.

How To Use ENS? What Is ENS And How Does It Work?

Despite all the technological innovation taking place in the cryptocurrency industry, the majority of cryptocurrencies still operate on a setup akin to the old IP address setup. Instead of using something more amiable like the wallet owner's name, you must use that person's wallet address w to send bitcoin to their address. This is when ENS comes. I will explain how to use ENS in this article.

What is Ethereum Name Service? All About ENS for Dummies

A naming system called Ethereum Name Service (ENS) enables people to use simple-to-remember domain names as their bitcoin addresses. It is subsequently converted into a machine-readable address via the protocol. Additionally, it equips users with a tool that can streamline their online persona and assist them in entering the web3 space. This guide explains how and why this might be the case.
